Nutrition is the science of food and its relationship to health. Food plays an important role in maintaining health as well as in curing diseases. With the current increase in lifestyle disorders around the world it is important to promote healthy nutrition in all age groups.

Our goal is to spread awareness about dietetics and nutrition by promoting nutrition as an integral part of disease management. Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics Department at Fortis JK Hospital provides comprehensive inpatient nutritional care based on assessment and interaction with patients & doctor to improve the patient health status. Clinical Dietitian provides an array of patient care service, including nutritional assessment, counselling and feeding recommendation. The dietary intervention is done taking into consideration the disease condition, social background and nutritional status of the patients. The patients are visited and assessed on daily basis by the dietician and the diets are modified in accordance to the progress of the patients.
